Customer Car of the Month
BMW 325i Coupe

Owner :  Andy Beckett

May 2000

Hot on the heels of January's Car of the Month.  A blue 3 series coupe, is another blue 3 series coupe.  For some reason it has been BMW month here at Dimma, so this  time I have decided to spice it up with some photo's of me (Amanda WebMaster) & Fi Fi (Dimma  Cap Maker)

We have been trying on our rubber suits, cos we're getting in the mood for Max Power Live.  We will be on the  Dimma/Panasonic stand again this year, "hope to see you there".

Anyway! Andy has gone for a very different install to that of Matt Guest (Customer Car-Jan), no screens in this one.....Yet.

Trimmed into the boot, so that it looks like it's part of the car, is the powerful Phoenix Gold ZX TI 475 amp.  This is the top of the range Phoenix Amp, 4 x 75 Watts R.M.S. of serious Yank current.  The sound quality from this amp has to be heard to be believed, we have got one in our Nakamichi Demo Unit in the shop.  Anyone who is in any doubt about what a good system should sound like, should call in and have a listen. Phoenix Amp is more than up to the job of driving the twin 12" JL Subs

The bass vibe's will bring a smile to any girl's face

With the BMW i; is very difficult to get bass through from the boot, to the listening compartment. In a flimsy hatchback  it's easy, but the thick BMW rear seats just soak it away.  One answer is just to pump loads of it, How?  Two mighty 12" JL Subs in a big, big box.......Result - BIG BIG BASS that will shake the whole car!!!

Discreetly mounted in the front behind the original trim, are a pair of OZ Audio CS 130 Components.  OZ Audio Speakers are just about as good as you can get,  with good amplification you can drive them hard, without it ever getting painful to your ears.  At this level, you can't say that an OZ is better than say a top end JL or a top end Focal.  It just comes down to a question of taste.

You may prefer the brighter sound of the JL, but some one else may prefer the warmer sound of the OZ.  That's why if you are planning a system, you need to come into the shop for a chat and listen to some gear, your ears will tell you what to buy.

"Quick Plug" - don't forget the Dimma.com Sunstrips are available in 'Silver/White/Black/Blue or Red for just £10.00 inc P&P.....

This is a system that we would recommend to anyone who is interested in 'Real Sound Quality'
